The Secrets of the lakes of Savoy

The office for tourism of Rhone-Alpes, we offer one of several routes for an unforgettable vacation. This time you will find the main lake not only from the rhône-Alpes region, but also throughout France – the country’s largest natural lake Bourget, the cleanest lake in Europe – Annecy, the largest lake in Europe – Lehman, and the thermal resort of Thonon-Les-Bains.

Day 1. Arrival

Arrival in Lyon. Transfer from airport Saint-Exupery airport and accommodation in hotel of selected category.

Day 2. Lyon

Breakfast. Bus and walking tour of Lyon – from the Basilica of Fourviere, place Bellecour.

After lunch visit the Museum of fine arts, second only to the Louvre in the wealth of the collection.

Breakfast. Departure to Savoy, passing through the Pont Beauvoisis, through which passed the boundary between Savoy and France, and which today is divided into two parts between the departments of isère and Savoie.

Stop for lunch at the lake Ablett. Arrive in Chambery and a hotel.

Day 4. Lake Bourget and Annecy

Day 5. Leman coast

Breakfast. Moving in Thorens-Pie, to the North of Annecy and a visit to the castle of Toran, owned by the family of Francis de sales, where long lived Camillo Cavour, also came from this family. Transfer to the biggest lake of Europe, the Leman (sometimes called lake Geneva) and stop in once a typical fishing village – the coast-are now considered to be one of the most beautiful in France.

The 6th day. Savoyard wine and gorge The
